Orlando Gay Pride
Orlando's Gay Pride Celebration has grown tremendously over the last 10-15 years. I remember I was in the parade in 2004 or 2005, as part of the Florida QUACK Art Group. There were probably a total of 5-10 floats and the route was only 5 blocks. We did attract a decent crowd, about 2000 in total.
Yesterday's parade was over 100 floats long and lasted almost an hour. Lake Eola was filled with tents and party goers. The day ended with a fantastic fireworks display, probably better then the 4th of July.
The parade was seen from my sixth floor balcony.
